It has now been over a year since we began sending out the literature catalog. During the past twelve months we've made two major revisions. The latest revision is noteworthy for a number of reasons:
1. Thirty percent reduction in printing costs. 2. Booklet format changed to a fold-out style. 3. Religious literature is now primarily advertised. 4. A tear-off card is now included for interested friend's names and addresses.
This tear-off card for interested friends was added to the catalog after a successful test with co-workers in September. It's bringing a good response with the literature catalog also. (The program is designed so that only people who are genuinely interested may become subscribers). Out of approximately 6,600 responses which came in during October, for example, we estimate that 4500-5000 new people were referred to us. In the past we have often found that our most interested subscribers — who later became members — were referred to us by friends. As time goes by we hope this small tear-off card will be responsible for producing many high quality subscribers.
