If you live in the United States or one of its territories, the answer could be yes. President Ronald Reagan announced in August that a schoolteacher would be the first "citizen passenger to circle the earth in the space shuttle. Although other nonmilitary people have flown on the shuttle, they have been a part of the crew, assigned specific tasks. The job of this special teacher, on the other hand, will be to enjoy the trip and tell everyone on earth what outer space is like.
