This is the seventh installment of the eventful story of Mr. Armstrong's life. In this installment he is driven to develop resourcefulness to work out of some tight situations - continuing the experiences of formative years. My nearly three years of training on the staff of The Merchants Trade Journal were behind me. Haunted by fear of being "fired," due to a misunderstanding of a pep letter from Mr. Boreman, I had "hired myself another job." Once again I got off the advertising main track. I became assistant secretary of the South Bend, Indiana, Chamber of Commerce. I had sent in my resignation to the Des Moines office of the Journal before completing the third and last "Idea Man" tour.
