Herbert W. Armstrong founded the Worldwide Church of God in the late 1930s, as well as Ambassador College in 1946, and was an early pioneer of radio and tele-evangelism, originally taking to the airwaves in the 1930s from Eugene, Oregon.

The United States will pay a price, if Britain joins the Common Market,... President Kennedy realizes and accepts this. The Common Market already comprises a sheltered market of 160 million people. Interior tariff walls are being torn down. Nothing less than a United States of Europe is building up."
