Here is an on-the-spot report from our Senior Editor. We Americans and British need to realize that a potential Frankenstein Monster is rearing up in Central Europe. Munich, Germany. I have just returned from Dachau. Here, preserved now as a museum, stands one of the grim reminders of what Germany was like just twenty years ago! Historically, twenty years is not a very long time. There are thousands still living who person ally remember the activities in and around Hitler's concentration camp at Dachau. Some, no doubt, remember the appearance and smell of the thick yellow smoke from the chimney of the crematorium. For when yellow smoke poured forth, guards and inmates knew that some "special" victims were being burned in Hitler's ovens. When long-time camp inmates were burned, the smoke was always thin and green. But "outsiders" were usually still well nourished and contained an average quantity of meats and fats. Thus the difference in the smoke.
