Herbert W. Armstrong founded the Worldwide Church of God in the late 1930s, as well as Ambassador College in 1946, and was an early pioneer of radio and tele-evangelism, originally taking to the airwaves in the 1930s from Eugene, Oregon.
Men have been able to construct accurate maps - even small globes - by use of instruments. But never before in the history of man an actual picture like this. On the opposite page we show you a history-making picture. This is an actual photograph, taken from outer space at a position near the moon. While it shows swirling cloud formations, much of the sunlit side of the earth shown was clear. This history making photograph was released through NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) at Washington, D.C. We were able to show it on the televised version of The WORLD TOMORROW, viewed in the Los Angeles area on the night of August 17.
