The Israeli Independence Day Parade has passed without incident. In spite of the United Nations Security Council's condemnation, the festivities have gone on. To Jews, May 2nd is their day - a day for which they had been waiting nearly 2000 years. The Military Parade was not a simple Independence Day celebration. It had greater psychological implications for the Jewish people. It was nothing less than a demonstration of their victory over their Arab neighbors in the Six Day War.
