Good News Staff

Dr. Meredith was a rare example of one who served his Creator above all else. Although we were shocked to hear of his death recently, he lived a rather long, a very interesting and an extremely productive life. He was the second son of Clarence Dexter Meredith of Wabash, Indiana and Elizabeth Ann Cunningham of Moberly, Missouri. Born soon after the turn of the century, he often told of how his father tricked his mother into staying overnight in their covered wagon in the "Indian Territory" - later to become the state of Oklahoma - not telling her they had crossed over from Missouri until they had been there two days! Dr. Meredith was born there - in Vinita, Oklahoma - on October 27, 1902.
