Record TV Responses
During the past two weekends, we have had two of the highest responses ever to "The WORLD TOMORROW" telecast! The program "Revelation: Catastrophic Event," which aired October 20-21, brought in a new all-time record — 13,940 calls. The previous record of 13,873 calls was set by the very same program on January 21-22 of this year.
Programs about prophecy normally draw heavy responses. Interestingly, this particular program had few graphics. It is apparent that Mr. Armstrong's message of and by itself prompted more people to call than ever before.
The program "What is the Basis of Religion?," which aired October 27-28, drew 13,290 calls. This was the third highest weekend response ever. As you may have noticed, this was the first time Mr. Armstrong did not use notes in addressing the audience.
Those responding showed particular interest in the details of Mr. Armstrong's background and of the modern era of God's Church. They were also intrigued about the truth concerning the Sabbath and how the United States fits into Bible prophecy. Following are some of the comments we received about the telecasts of the past two weekends:
"The WORLD TOMORROW" program was wonderful this morning. I am so interested in the Sabbath because some people say that the seventh-day Sabbath was done away with by Jesus Christ. But I don't believe that. God was the one who created it.
M.P. (Sacramento, CA)I watch "The WORLD TOMORROW" with a passion. I see it each week and find it very informative. I'm eagerly awaiting the booklets WHICH DAY IS THE CHRISTIAN SABBATH? and WHERE IS THE TRUE CHURCH?
B.B. (American Fork, UT)I have been listening to Mr. Armstrong for many years, and I love the program! I can tell he is a true man of God. I wanted to know his age — and the fact that he is 92 years old shows how richly God has blessed him in his ability!
F.W. (Baltimore, MD)Watching "The WORLD TOMORROW" program really piqued my curiosity. I want to know more. It was only my first time seeing "The WORLD TOMORROW" but I'm going to keep watching.
C.M. (Elk Grove, CA)I saw only the last 15 minutes of your program. I've heard of Mr. Armstrong but have never seen him. He quoted the Bible and came across strong. I am very interested in THE UNITED STATES AND BRITAIN IN PROPHECY, even though it makes me a little scared.
A.A. (Huntington Beach, CA)Mr. Armstrong knows the answers — other preachers don't. He makes things plain while other ministers seem so blind. He is always very uplifting.
B.P. (Killbuck, OH)Fascinating! I was intrigued! As I study the Bible I am finding that things I've been told and assumed to be true are not.

Feast Volunteers Answer Record Number of Calls
More than 600 members from all over the United States and several overseas countries enjoyed the opportunity of serving on the WATS lines while attending the Feast of Tabernacles in Pasadena and Big Sandy. A record 37,933 calls in response to the telecast were received during the 18-day Feast period. This was an 89% increase over the same period last year. The work went smoothly thanks to the enthusiasm, cooperation and teamwork displayed by the volunteers.
Big Sandy Calls Reach 100,000
The Big Sandy WATS operation passed a significant milestone on October 21, when the total calls topped the 100,000 mark. WATS in Big Sandy began eight months ago with only ten lines. The staff is now answering 75 lines and receives about 40-45% of all weekend TV calls.
