Hola, friends from other parts of the world! (That's Spanish for hello.) I would like to invite you to visit Colombia with me. Colombia is a country of many faces. The scenery constantly changes as you travel around the country, and so does the climate! Since it is a tropical country, the climate does not mainly depend on the seasons of the year, but on the altitude of the area you are in. Because of the high, rugged mountains, there is great variety in the weather from one part of the country to another. Bogota, the capital and largest city of Colombia, sits on a plateau more than a mile and a half above sea level! It's about 8,660 feet or 2,640 meters high.
