Herbert W. Armstrong founded the Worldwide Church of God in the late 1930s, as well as Ambassador College in 1946, and was an early pioneer of radio and tele-evangelism, originally taking to the airwaves in the 1930s from Eugene, Oregon.
Most people know next to nothing about God. To understand ourselves, why we are, where we are going, and how, we need to know more about our Creator. Ask anyone where the real beginning is in the Bible. He would probably reply, "Genesis 1:1." But he would be absolutely wrong! The real beginning of the Bible is NOT Genesis 1:1, but in the New Testament, John 1:1-2:" In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God." In the beginning there existed two all-knowing, all-powerful, all-perfect SUPERBEINGS. Each possessed supreme MIND and CREATIVE power. One is called "the Word," the other is called "God." But the Word, it states, was also God - though a separate Personage.
