Sometimes if you don't say it, you can end up hurting yourself But how do you say no without offending others? Daily we are caught up in situations where we should, and even want to, say no, but don't. Often our difficulty is caused by not wanting to be badly thought of. Yet, we end up hurting ourselves. Consider some of the following to see if you get taken advantage of by failing to say a polite, but firm, no: "I knew he was driving too fast, but I didn't know what to do about it." "I realized it was illegal to drink, but the others wanted to." "I didn't want to buy it, but the salesperson pressured me."
