Is peer pressure affecting your life? Peer pressure has an effect on almost everyone at some time in his life. You need to know and understand that you have a right to make your own decisions without interference from your peers. Should you smoke? Consider these facts - the average smokers spend more than $200 a year on cigarettes. If several members of a family smoke, or if one smokes very heavily, the cost increases proportionally. Who is going to pay for your cigarettes if you begin to smoke now - you or your parents? You might want to look ahead. The cost of years of smoking could easily make a down payment on a car or buy a lot of clothes. Also smoking is one of the highest causes of cancer and heart disease.
