Question: My problem is that my parents always blame me for things that my brother or two sisters actually do. Then they get angry at me when I try to explain that I'm not at fault. Why is this? Answer: It certainly could be upsetting to be constantly blamed unjustly. You asked why this happens, so let's look at some possible reasons. First, examine the possibility that you don't get all the blame, although it may sure seem like it some times. Many, many young people feel singled out and picked on, but later find out that their brothers and sisters also felt unjustly blamed much of the time.
