|Don't Shortchange Yourself
Many people are shortchanged - cheated - without realizing it. Don't let this happen to you! Instructions? Now what did I do with those instructions?" When you're almost through assembling a piece of electronic equipment or sewing a dress and you find some extra parts or pieces of the pattern - then you wish you'd taken the time to read (maybe even memorize!) the instructions in advance. What seemed to be the shortest distance between two points (starting immediately on the project without examining the instructions) turned out to be no shortcut at all, but a waste of time. Often, in a hurry to get things done, we try to take such shortcuts that really only shortchange us - cheat us out of the satisfaction of a job well done.
