What is the most exciting, compelling and challenging activity you can imagine? Is it free-falling through space at 100 miles per hour? An around - the-world trip in a hot-air balloon? Or making a 360-degree revolution on a roller coaster? I met a man recently who, in his teenage years, made a list of more than 125 things he would like to do during his lifetime. In the 30 or so years since then, John Goddard has accomplished more than 100 of them. Most of the items that he had listed were feats of daring that tantalized his fancy during his early years.
