Monty M DiGiacomo

I would like to share with you a story about a man I know. His name is Vince. Vince was crippled from his shoulders down by rheumatoid arthritis at age 5. His situation is quite severe. Simple tasks, such as going up the stairs and writing with a pencil, are big jobs for him. Even learning to hold a fork took time and practice. I'm sure that if you saw his condition you would understand. In spite of his problem, Vince learned to do many things. He learned to overcome his handicaps by constantly doing, learning and not giving up. I could write a book about all of the wonderful things he has done, but I will just name a few. For instance, his learning to drive a car is a good example. You might think that's easy, but in Vince's case it is hard.
