|By the Way... Honesty Is the Only Policy
YOU are taking a final exam on which you need at least a B in order to make a decent grade in this math course. You haven't studied much, and Sue, an A student, sits in front of you with her exam paper where you can see it. It would be so easy to copy her answers, and you're pretty sure they're correct. What would you do? Whether to be honest is a decision we all face constantly. Every day we are confronted with chances to lie, steal or cheat. Deciding to be honest is a difficult decision sometimes. Many activities fall under the definition of dishonesty: shoplifting, borrowing clothes from someone and not returning them, buying an item that you know was stolen, using someone else's research paper as your own, accepting praise that belongs to another person, stealing answers (cheating) during a test.
