What should you as a parent do if your child's grades arc lowered for taking time off to attend the Feast of Tabernacles? Situations like this have occurred. In one case, a 10-year-old felt bad because her grades were lowered after she attended the Feast. What can a parent do to help a child in such an instance? Overall approach important. First, you need to make sure your child's grades have not been lowered because of inferior schoolwork. Has your child kept up with studies while at the Feast? Show interest in your child's performance at school all the time. God ultimately holds parents responsible for the education - especially the religious instruction - of their children (Ephesians 6:4). Don't neglect this responsibility....
