On January 5, 1968, the Radio Church of God (founded October 21, 1933) was renamed the Worldwide Church of God. Soon after, the church began to broadcast a television version of The World Tomorrow. The program would eventually expand to 382 U.S. television stations, and 36 television outlets internationally.

The FEAST OF TABERNACLES the most joyous time of the year! We welcome you-some 7,500 of God's chosen-from near and far who have journeyed here to Big Sandy, Texas. We hope you enjoy yourselves to the fullest-as God intends. Also enjoying this God-planned vacation (in the United States) are some 10,000 other brethren meeting in California and Georgia. About 6,000 are expected at Squaw Valley and some 4,000 are expected to meet at Jekyll Island. Since God is abundantly blessing His Church, it is necessary to hold the feast in a third location. Facilities here at Big Sandy have been considerably outgrown and would have been totally unable to handle a record-breaking attendance. Thanks be to God for providing a third location which now enables additional thousands to attend the feast.
