Herbert W. Armstrong founded the Worldwide Church of God in the late 1930s, as well as Ambassador College in 1946, and was an early pioneer of radio and tele-evangelism, originally taking to the airwaves in the 1930s from Eugene, Oregon.

EVERY high school graduate, as well as all readers of The PLAIN TRUTH, will be interested in these facts about this very different college. This summer a few Ambassador students are out in active service, ministering to our churches in Oregon, Our new college, in beautiful Pasadena, approaches the beginning of its fourth year already an established success. Already the college is showing splendid results. Ambassador College was founded for a purpose. That purpose is being accomplished, not in the way we envisioned, but more rapidly and in greater measure than we expected.
