Millions are spent yearly to keep the Vatican informed! Read here of the MOST IMPORTANT NEWS GATHERING AGENCY ON EARTH - the listening post of the world! While in Rome recently, my father and I saw and heard, from specially constructed close-up "box seats," Pope John XXIII give a dynamic, vigorous, forceful speech to thousands thronging the huge Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican. The pope spoke for about 20 minutes in Italian, and then spoke for a few minutes in French. Afterward, other dignitaries acknowledged gifts and well wishes from groups from many nations, making pilgrimages to the Vatican. The present pope occupies the same living quarters, in a north-east wing of an adjacent building, as did his predecessor, Pius XII. He keeps well informed of world news! He always has inside information on world affairs!
