Continuing the Middle East and Holy Land tour of 1956; visiting Damascus, where the Apostle Paul was baptized, Tyre and Sidon, and the Rose-Red City of Rock-Petra. INSTALLMENT 68. Following our six months' experience in telecasting, the need seemed apparent for a visit to the ancient lands of the Bible and its prophecies. We were still planning ahead for daily television. The production of The WORLD TOMORROW for television had utilized a good deal of film stock, illustrating the messages. Our son Dick (Richard David) was in London, having opened offices there to handle the Radio Luxembourg mail response. Dick had planned the Middle-Eastern tour through American Express in London. He accompanied us on the tour. During this momentous tour, Mrs. Armstrong kept a diary. It was published in The PLAIN TRUTH in three installments, in the issues of October, November, and December, 1956. This diary, written on the spot at the moment, provides a far better description of this trip than I could now write, myself, from memory.
