The Bible Story - Elijah and the Famine

Zimri, an ambitious and murderous man, had tried to become king of the ten tribes of Israel by murdering king Elah. (I Kings 16:8-10.) Zimri had then hidden in the palace at Tirzah. When the army approached, he had set fire to it, knowing that he would be slain if he were found. Zimri madly shouted that he would rather see the palace burn than give it up to anyone else.
