Here is an article explaining how to make salads more attractive, more appetizing - as well as nutritious. IN our modern society few seem to really appreciate the value of a good and healthful salad! To a great extent salads have degenerated into half wilted lettuce, a feeble slice of tomato and run-down unappetizing-looking dressing. It is the part of the meal eaten first in order to get it over and get on with the meal. Children often dislike salads. Adults eat them because they learned somewhere "it was good for them." This attitude need not be so. Since fresh produce is available in markets the year-round, salads can be enjoyed every season, provided they are made properly.
