ETHIOPIA TODAY - A Land of Gloom

Here is an inside look at Ethiopia from a former high official in the Ethiopian government. Getachew Mekasha was Ethiopia's ambassador to Egypt until his resignation in March. He was previously ambassador to Kenya and India. Now a professor of political science and history at Ambassador College in Pasadena, California, he is presently writing a book which will detail the late Emperor Haile Selassie's rule of over fifty years. PLAIN TRUTH: You have said that the military leaders now running Ethiopia make Uganda's Idi Amin "look like a nice guy." What have they been doing?
