Suppose you had been a neighbor of Jesus' family. What would you have thought of Jesus, his brothers and sisters? Pure speculation? No! There is a biblical account of a man who actually was Christ's brother. James - the author of the book of James in the New Testament - is very distinctly called "the Lord's brother" (Gal. 1:19). His mother was Mary. His story tells what it was like to be the brother of Jesus.
