Speak before the class! Me? The thought raced through my mind - it made me sick to my stomach. How awful! Why did my teacher have to do this to me? Here she was telling me that I would have to give a speech in front of the entire class next week. Didn't she know I dreaded getting up in front of people to speak? It happened every time. My stomach would feel funny and my legs would begin to shake. Now my only thought was: How could I get out of it?
