Of course learned a great deal about the character and the nature of God, we're told for instance back in the book of I John chapter 4 and verse 8 (I John 4:8) that God is love, we learned also in I John 5:3 that this is the love of God that we keep His commandments, we learned that love is the fulfilling of the law.
