Millions are basing their lives on the hope of "getting to Heaven." What does the BIBLE say about this subject? Many eloquent sermons have been preached on "the joys of heaven," Most funeral sermons are filled with the idea - the preachers try to comfort the bereaved with this hope. It is a popular idea. The lives of most "Christians" would seem empty and futile if they didn't know that there was a "heavenly home" awaiting them. But, they feel sure there is. How can they know this? Why, their preacher told them so, of course! And he should know, shouldn't he? After all, that is his business. But where did he get his information? Ah - that is what we are about to look into. Remember that you are commanded to "prove all things; hold fast that which is good" (I Thes. 5:21).
